BOOLEAN QUEST

Build the computer. Wire by wire. Gate by gate.

The City of Volt has gone dark, and you are the youngest engineer left. Relight it — and along the way, discover how computers really think.

First time opening on Mac: macOS will say it "could be malware" — that's what it says about every indie game without Apple's $99 badge, not a real problem. Open the app once (it gets blocked), then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom, and click Open Anyway — your Mac asks for your password (it stays on your Mac). After that it opens normally, forever.

> what you'll build

Real logic

Wires, NOT and OR — then you invent AND and XOR yourself, the way engineers did. Every gate you place truly computes.

Real arithmetic

Learn binary, then build half adders, full adders, and a working 2-bit adder with ripple carry.

A real screen

Encoders, decoders, and a wall of lamps: build a display driver that draws glowing 7-segment digits.

Real memory

BitTick flip-flops and your own working RAM — press a button, let go, and the machine remembers.

Infinite worlds

World ∞ is a saved sandbox with unlimited parts, letter blocks you can rename, undo, and WorldEdit-style copy/paste.

Mods

Add-only mod system: new levels, worlds and function packs from anyone — the base game stays untouchable. A built-in "Make a mod" kit included.

Texture packs

Restyle wires, gates, lamps, levers and the floor with your own colors or pixel-art PNGs — Minecraft-style. "Make a pack" hands you a green-wire starter pack to edit.

Boolean Quest is free, and it always will be. If it lit something up for you — a puzzle solved, a first circuit, an "OHHH I get binary now!" — you can toss a coin to the engineer. Every tip powers the next world. ⚡
